Tavor TS12 for Sale
First off, I’ve really started to like bullpup firearms. At first, they seemed a bit…well…awkward because I’ve been so used to standard firearms. However, the Tavor X95 really started to change my mind – that rifle by IWI is absolutely incredible and has become one of my favorite rifles. So, what do I think of the TS12? Well, let’s start by truly understanding what it is and its purpose. IWI started the TS12 project with the idea of creating a 15+1 semi-automatic 12 gauge shotgun in a tight package. With that in mind, I think they knocked it out of the park. I mean, this really is the only way to get 16 shells into this size of a shotgun…and, with how it operates, it’s excellent. However, that being said, it’s not without some issues. Let’s start with some of the positives I ran across while test firing this both in the rain and in better conditions.
Tavor For Sale
Tavor TS12 for Sale Tavor TS12 12 gauge shotgun is a gas regulated bullpup shotgun that can be configured for either right or left side ejection and operation. It feeds from one of three magazine tubes which can hold four 3 inch shotgun shells or five 2 ¾ inch shotgun shells. This means that the potential magazine capacity is 15 rounds plus one additional round in the chamber. The Tavor TS12 has a unique feature that automatically loads a round in the chamber once the subsequently loaded tube is rotated into position. It can be fed and unloaded from either side and is easily convertible to left-hand operation. Additional features of the Tavor TS12: 4 sling attachment points, M-LOK compatible rails, a continuous Picatinny rail on top, Benelli/Beretta choke tube compatibility, and the reliability expected of all IWI products. Although the Tavor TS12 has an 18.5-inch barrel, the overall length is still only 28.34 inches. Currently, the Tavor TS12 will be offered in black with the following versions offered in the green and flat dark earth. For a versatile and compact sporting or home defense shotgun, the TS12 is innovative and optimized for whatever application you need. Tavor TS12 for Sale
Features of the IWI Tavor TS12 shotgun
With its “sci-fi” look, the Tavor TS12 is a 15-round, gas-operated self-loading shotgun – again, a not-so-common feature, since there are not a lot of self-loading shotguns on the market today. Another peculiarity is that IWI’s bullpup is fed from one of three rotating magazine tubes. Each tube holds four 3-inch shells or five 2.75-inch shells for a total capacity of 15+1. A fresh round is automatically loaded when the tubular are rotated in place. The Tavor TS12 can be loaded from either side since the ejection port can be easily moved from one side to the other. The controls are fully ambidextrous, anyway.
- Muzzle threads are internal and will be Beretta type. One choke will be included with each shotgun
- Tubular magazine system (5 – 2 ¾” or 4 – 3”) 15 rounds total capacity
- 12 gauge gas-operated smoothbore semi-automatic shotgun with integral gas regulation adjustment
ADVANTAGES AND BENEFITS
- A one-piece full length 1913 standard Picatinny top rail will be on the gun. M-LOK receptacles will be incorporated into each side of the forearm of the shotgun body
- Cross bolt safety
- Disassembly from the rear without the use of any special tools
- Easy loading system that can be loaded from either right or left side. Cartridges can be unloaded one at a time with a push of a button
- A unique patented “Bullhead” bolt system, specially designed for use with the TS12
With an overall length of just 29-in, it’s compact indeed, even it at 8 lbs / 3.6 kg empty it’s not a featherweight. But this is the price for having a shotgun with three magazine tubes and an astonishing 15 rounds capacity. The TS21 is equipped with a full-length Picatinny top rail and M-Lok slots on the forward handguard for mounting optics and/or accessories and make it even more “tactical”. The barrel has internal muzzle threads for Benelli / Beretta (one choke is included). Safety is a cross-bolt system.
This unique bullpup shotgun IWI will hit the shelves with a suggested price tag of 1399 USD / 1142 euro (approx., excl. tax). IWI will initially offer the Tavor TS12 in black, but FDE (Flat Dark Earth) and OD version have been already announced. Just look at it. This is the 15-round bullpup shotgun that swept all before it at this year’s SHOT Show. The IWI Tavor TS12 has star power and it’s going to be a smash hit.
We’ll wax lyrical about this firearm again shortly when you get the shotgun report from this year’s gun extravaganza at the SHOT Show. But seriously, the Tavor TS12 deserves its own piece and so we’re going to give it our inaugural USA Gun Shop SHOT Show Championship. It looks like it came straight off a sci-fi set and it’s a different solution to the more compact Kel-Tec KSG.
Three tubes carry five shells each, and the capacity drops to 12 if you opt for full Magnum loads. But there’s another intriguing option. There’s no reason why you can’t use mini shells. You can in the Kel-Tec. So if they cycle cleanly, you could have up to 24 shells in one shotgun. As a home defense gun, that’s just unbelievably valuable.Tavor TS12 for Sale
Easy to Manage Recoil
The shotgun shoots very well with fast follow-up shots being a breeze. I think a lot of this is due to the overall weight of the gun, and it’s pivot point due to the location of the barrel being comparatively lower than most shotguns. For 12-gauge shotgun, this has the best recoil management I’ve experienced.
Easy to Manage Ammo
15+1 rounds is awesome. However, it is even cooler to be able to segregate the ammo into groups of 5. This way, you can have two magazine tube full of 10 rounds of buckshot total and one filled with slugs. You can then easily switch magazine tubes to change ammo types while you shoot! Even better, when the bolt holds open after the last round from a tube is fired, rotating the cylinder to a full tube automatically loads and closes the bolt! That is such a cool feature, I wouldn’t have even thought to ask for it.
Shell Ejection Capability
With many shotguns you have to cycle through all the shells to get them out. With this, I can turn to any tube I want and press a button and it will eject and catch thus making ejection much easier.
Material and Extra Features
Just about everything on this shotgun, except for one thing, which I’ll bring up later, is extremely sturdy and well made. It feels durable, and wasn’t cheaply put together. Also, the inclusion of QD sling swivels is a great addition and I wish more companies would do that.
Small size, reliability, high capacity, ammo management, and shootability.
